TGRM supports Team Tony Kart Apollo Motorsports

During February and March 2010 TGRM supported Team Tony Kart Apollo Motorsports at the 2010 Challenge of the Americas Gators Series in Fontana Southern California and Sanoma Sears Point Northern California. Drivers Philipe Gelinas (Senior Rotax Max) Noel Dowler (Senior Rotax Max and Rotax Max DD2) and Adam Dowler (Junior Rotax Max).

All drivers performed extremely well with Philipe Gelinas taking the Championship and securing a place at the Rotax Max World Finals later this year in La Conca Italy.

TGRM would also like to recognize the rest of the support team that gelled together so well to pull off this achievement.

TGRM has doors opened in the US

TGRM has been appointed the official Clerk of the course for the US Rotax Max Grand Finals at New Castle Motorsports Park Indian July 13th – 17th 2010.

Recommendation to fill this position came directly from Technical Delegate for the series a legend in the US Don Moormeister and a direct nod of approval from SRA’s President Michel Boisclair who is the BRP Canadian importers of Rotax Max and President of SRA International after being witness to The Western Canadian Championship Rounds in Chilliwack British Columbia.

Rounding off the team from the UK will be the event commentator Ken Walker

Top Gear Race Management at the Super Nationals in Vegas

Top Gear Race Management attended the Super Nationals event in Vegas as Race Support to Canadian Driver #15 John Kwong who was entered in the G1 Class. This would be the second time Top Gear Race Management would crew for John at the Supernats.

Top Gear Race Management pupils Mark Newson (Mini Max black suit) and Coltin McCaughan (Junior 1 Honda red suit) take the top step on the podium in the EDKRA Fall Classic September 4th – 6th at Warburg race track near Edmonton Alberta.

Both drivers displayed mature attitudes towards this three day event conserving their tires and managing the bumpy tight circuit to emerge victorious in their classes. Both drivers walked away with a Play station 3 as their prize as well as a cut crystal trophy.

Mark Newson...

Top Gear Race Management student Mark Newson dominated the inaugural running of Rotax Mini Max at the first race of Calgary Kart Racing Clubs 2009 Championship season.

Mark came off the grid to qualify 2 thousandths of a second quicker on a damp circuit over the rest of the field. During the Pre Final and Final Mark was head and shoulders ahead of his opposition and crossed the finish line in the Final 6.5 seconds ahead. Mark put his training from Top Gear Race Management into play and left the rest of the field wondering what they would need to do to negate the advantage he enjoyed in this new and exciting class.
